The Acting Studio at The Rose Theatre Company is a safe, accepting, fun enviroment for students of all ages to use their imaginations. Our experienced and patient director, Mrs. Jessie Rose, has over 8 years experience teaching kids, teens and adults the skills of acting that she learned while a student at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York CIty! She is always dedicated to building a student's self confidence and giving them an outlet to express themselves freely.

We focus on the positive traits and talents of each student. While working on basic acting skills we also cover everything from self awareness, memorization, how to handle stage fright and how to give a report in front of an audience (or class).  We want students to feel at home in front of a crowd.

Students accomplish this while enjoying themselves and making lots of friends in the process. Kreative Kids and Teens classes are the perfect place to watch your young ones grow!

All classes are 16 weeks and have a showcase for family and friends at the conclusion of the semester.

Home School Class

What a great way for your kids to socialize and work on skills they will need the rest of their lives. We will be rehearsing different scenes from plays, monologues and movies. *Students can audition to perform in the 'Theatre Tots' plays during the year.

  Kreative Kids  (7-10 yrs old) 

Student actors learn the basics of theatre; focusing on stage direction, expressing their emotions and building confidence and self esteem through fun theatre activities.  Every class is a fun and educational experience for each student.

Kreative Kids (10-13 yr olds) 

In class we review the basics of theatre and continue to add on additional layers of acting ability.  We work on improvisation, auditioning skills, diction, projection and much more.  We work on selected scene work and monologues. 

Saturday 3pm-5pm
August 28- Dec 18

Basic Teens (13-17 yrs old)

Students will learn exciting skills and see what it takes to make it in the acting world.  The basics of theatre are covered in this class; like stage directions, conquering stage fright, theatre terms and more.  We will also work on memorization skills, dictation and auditioning skills.  This class lets each student be themselves and be creative.

 Advanced Teen One-Act (13-17yrs old)

Pre-requisite: In order to take this class you have to have taken at least one year of our Basic Teen Class and also audition.  If you have taken classes somewhere else an audition with a one minute monologue is required before enrollment.
We focus on scene work and character study.  We also cover sensory recall and substitution and go in-depth on emotions and what type of actor you are.  We use Uta Hagen's perspective on acting.  This class also gets the wonderful opportunity to be featured once-a-year in a full run show in The Rose Theatre Co.’s night time theatre season.
